この度、国連広報センター（UNIC）は、第18回「いっしょに国連セミナー」を開催します。今回は、国連大学（UNU）副学長の武内和彦氏をゲスト・スピーカーにお迎えし、“Building a Global-Meta Network for Sustainability Science” をテーマにお話していただきます。武内副学長は、持続型社会の構築を目指す俯瞰的な科学としての地球持続学(サステイナビリティ学)の世界的な拠点形成に向けて奔走されています。また、日本の里地里山の再生を目指すとともに、伝統的な土地利用の再構築に向けた世界の多様な取り組みとの連携を目指すSATOYAMAイニシアティブにも深く関与されています。奮ってご参加ください。

〔武内和彦氏のプロフィール〕1997年より東京大学大学院農学生命科学研究科教授。2005年より 東京大学サステイナビリティ学連携研究機構(IR3S)副機構長、2008年より国際連合大学(UNU)副学長、2009年より同サステイナビリティと平和研究所(UNU-ISP)所長を併任。日本造園学会会長、中央環境審議会委員、食料・農業・農村政策審議会委員などを兼任。

United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) Tokyo announces the holding of the 18th “Together with the UN Seminar” inviting Prof. Kazuhiko Takeuchi. The theme of the seminar is “Building a Global-Meta Network for Sustainability Science.” Professor Takeuchi’s research focuses on creating eco-friendly environments for a harmonious coexistence of man and nature both on local and global scales. In the seminar, new ideas based on SATOYAMA Initiative will be introduced.
