What is UNIDO ?
The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is the specialized agency of the United Nations that promotes industrial development and global industrial cooperation. Its mandate is to promote and accelerate sustainable industrial development in developing countries and economies in transition, and work towards improving living conditions in the world’s poorest countries by drawing on its combined global resources and expertise.
Message from UNIDO ITPO Tokyo
UNIDO ITPO Tokyo was established in March 1981 in accordance with an agreement concluded between UNIDO and the Government of Japan. The mission of ITPO Tokyo is to help developing countries and economies in transition in their efforts to achieve sustainable economic development. We promote direct investment and technology transfer of the Japanese private sector through activities including: 1) invitation of government officials from developing countries to Japan to be engaged in various activities for promotion of investment and technology transfer, 2) organization of investment and technology transfer seminars in different locations of Japan in close collaboration with government offices, industrial /business organizations, municipalities, chambers of commerce and industry, etc.,
