“SIAP: 5th Decade of Statistical Training for Development”

Director of Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific

“Together with the UN Seminar” is designed to provide opportunities to learn and think about the activities of the United Nations, and to know how one can collaborate “together” with the Organization. With the cooperation of other UN entities and partner organizations, the series of these interactive seminars have been hosted by the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) Tokyo, and will continually be held on a monthly basis.

The theme of the eighth seminar in October is “SIAP: 5th Decade of Statistical Training for Development.” The speaker, Ms. Davaasuren Chultemjamts, representing SIAP, will talk about the role and contribution of SIAP in building human capability in developing countries in Asia and the Pacific as well as beyond. The seminar will include the presentation of a short video entitled “5th Decade” and open discussion with the participants.
