“UNITAR: The UN and post-conflict reconstruction”

The Head of UNITAR Hiroshima Office

“Together with the UN Seminar” is designed to provide opportunities to learn and think about the activities of the United Nations, and to know how one can collaborate “together” with the Organization. With the cooperation of other UN entities and partner organizations, the series of these interactive seminars have been hosted by the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) Tokyo, and will continually be held on a monthly basis.

The theme of the ninth seminar in November is “The UN and post-conflict reconstruction.” Mr. Alexander Mejia, Head, UNITAR Hiroshima Office, will be the speaker. Mr. Mejia will address the mission and contribution of UNITAR Hiroshima in conducting training programmes in multilateral diplomacy and international cooperation for diplomats accredited to the United Nations and national officials. The seminar will include the presentation by Mr. Mejia followed by open discussion with the participants.
